Mamavation Monday

Well.  It's Monday again.  Today was also the first (official) day of school for BOTH of the shorts!  How the morning started off and/or went isn't important.  What is important, is that I got them both to school on time, did what I needed to do(run, get an Rx) and picked up the shortest one on time.  The oldest doesn't get out until 3p.

This past week was just blech.  I could have sworn I gained 800lbs and was just feeling all around gross.  Fat.  Ugly.  Gross.  It wasn't pretty.  Add that to 105+ temps all week and it was even hard to really get any sort of exercise.  I did walk, but I did not run.

Honestly, I just didn't care this week.  I'm not exactly sure what came over me, but I just wasn't in it this week.  It happens I guess, but booo!

(I'm super irritated right now because I had a whole post in my head and now I got nuthin'.  Go figure.)

Today I started a 10 week training program for a half marathon.  I'm going to have to ease into it because the last couple of weeks of little to no running and some sort of leg injury, as left me a bit disabled.  I did get out and run this morning, first day of training.  This isn't going to be easy, but it is going to be fun and that is the whole point.

I just want to have fun with it.  No stressing.  Just get out there and have a good time.

(I could really use a nap)

This week, I was expecting a gain.  Really.  Especially feeling the way I have(mooo!).  Much to my surprise, I stepped on the scale this morning and was -1 pound!!  Making my total weight loss since joining Mamavation 7.8lbs!!

I even got a comment this morning while at the dr.  Nurse: "Have you lost weight?" Doctor: "If she hasn't, she has toned up a lot." Me: "Actually, I have.  almost 8lbs."  I just saw these people 3 weeks ago.  I don't care who you are, it does something for ones self when other people notice you've been working hard.

My goal(s) this week is to continue with training, put myself first and eat more veggies!  Water isn't an issue(I've been managing over 125oz a day!).

Shout out this week to the SOTW!!!  BIG congratulations to Shawnee Halligan @ShawneeH for being the Sista of the Week!  You are a sweet heart girl!!

I hope to "see" everyone this evening at Mamavation TV!!!

  14. Do that training program as best as you can - when it comes to race day you'll have a ton of adrenaline and will do better than you could ever imagine! Trust me on this - I've done 9! (One without ANY training, as in I hadn't ran in 3 months and just decided to run one). You can do it!
